THE PERFECT BAG FOR SHOPPING: HOW TO CHOOSE IT?

Shopping is for many women an important time of complete relaxation and absolute pleasure. In fact, when you go out shopping, you are always so busy looking for that perfect something, perhaps a dress or a bag, that you completely forget about work and all the trials and tribulations of everyday life.

Shopping, for us women, is like entering a magical world, an alternative reality of pleasant sensations and emotions, where nothing and nobody can trouble us!

But how can we make sure that our shopping time is as enjoyable and relaxing as we’d like it to be? All we have to do is follow a few simple steps:

• First of all, when we go shopping we should wear comfortable shoes that allow us to walk for hours without tiring our feet. Sore feet, in fact, are really annoying and are sure to turn all our enjoyment into pure suffering, preventing us from relaxing and concentrating on making our purchases in complete serenity.
• When we decide to go shopping, we should wear comfortable clothes that allow us to change easily in the dressing rooms of the shop. Sometimes, if we wear too many clothes, just the thought of having to remove all these clothes to try on the dress we like, is enough to make us give up on our shopping, so we go home unsatisfied, without having bought anything.
• The other basic rule, that we will analyze in more detail below, is the importance of having a comfortable bag, which is light and, above all, large and spacious. We are not talking about the classic shopping bag, to put  all your purchases in (you can always keep that folded in your handbag and, at the right time, use it as much as you like), but we are referring to a large, wide handbag to wear out shopping, which, as a faithful friend, will be always by your side, ready to make your shopping time more enjoyable and fun.

What main features should a bag to go shopping with have? How wide should it be? How heavy should it be and what shape should it have?

The above questions are crucial in order to find a bag which can be really comfortable and practical to wear when we go shopping, even if they are not the only ones we should take in consideration when we are going to buy a bag.

Let’s have a detailed look at the main elements to consider, in order to buy a bag that is not only beautiful but also practical and comfortable to wear during a crazy day of shopping in complete freedom!

1. Size: this is one of the primary elements to consider when we choose a bag to wear when we go shopping. What we need is a bag that will fit everything we need to have by our side when we are out. So it must necessarily be a wide item, with room not just for  our wallet,  cell phone, lipstick and eye-shadow, but also for our scarf, gloves, and any other clothing,  that, once inside the store, would occupy both our hands, preventing us from looking carefully at what we want to buy  (remember what we said in point B?). Everything needs to fit in our bag: tissues, a small bottle of water, any small purchases that we don’t want to carry a separate bag for; all these objects, though seemingly small and unobtrusive can really get in our way while we are shopping because they limit our movements. It is therefore essential to have a comfortable and practical handbag by our side, to keep all the things which bother us while we are shopping in absolute order.
2. Weight: It may seem strange but weight is a very important element to consider when we choose a bag. Often bags for shopping are large but they also have a downside: they can be very heavy and have a negative impact on our spine, over time causing curvature of the spine and very acute back pain. And then, as we said at the beginning of our article, shopping should be fun and enjoyable. How can we expect to spend a pleasant day if we carry an enormous weight on our shoulder the whole time we are shopping?. We can already foresee that our hours of leisure will soon turn into hours of toil and torture, with a bad backache and headache as final result. Thinking of all this, our enthusiasm for shopping vanishes into thin air!
3. Comfort: a bag to use when we go shopping needs to be absolutely comfortable and become part of us, of our look and of our personality. For this reason we always suggest that our customers should choose a shoulder bag  or a handbag with long handles acting as a strap, so that they can easily wear it on the shoulder and have both hands absolutely free. The best solution would be to buy a handbag with wide and flat strap or handles, which distribute the weight of the bag itself  better across the shoulder, avoiding pain and physical problems. If we choose to buy a shoulder-bag, we should make sure that the shoulder strap is quite long to allow us to wear it across the body, in order to always have it under our complete control.
4. Elegance: whether we go shopping with our friends or alone, our bag should be elegant and refined, just like our look. The best opportunities in life usually come when we least expect them, so we have to look good and be prepared at any time. Even a simple day of shopping could be the turning point  in either our romantic or professional life. So, if we want to feel confident in any context, we shouldn’t be content with an ordinary bag!!!  Often when we go shopping, we might prefer to use an ordinary bag, maybe one that isn’t new and doesn’t need to be looked after. But why should you give up the elegance of a beautiful and refined handbag for an activity that can be such a special time for us women?
5. Closure:  a bag to go shopping with should give easy and quick access to us, but not to others! It must be 100% secure and, therefore, the closure is also very important. According to the use we make of our bag, a specific type of closure is advised: if we travel on public transport or if we often visit very crowded shops, open bags or bags which only  close with a snap fastener are not recommended, because we could leave the store and find our wallet gone without knowing when and by whom it was stolen from our bag.

Recently, many designers have created their branded shopping bag, a wide and comfortable cloth bag to hold our purchases in complete practicality. It is a simple envelope bag that, after use, can be folded up to become very small and kept inside our handbag for shopping. Many people often use it as a normal bag to wear when they go out. This branded envelope bag is certainly practical but it can never replace that elegance and pure refinement guaranteed by a bag to go shopping, carefully chosen according to our needs …. because, as mentioned above, shopping should be an immense pleasure! A last suggestion: Before buying a new handbag (as you know, the handbag is an absolute passion for us women), always look at yourselves in the mirror wearing your bag. Don’t let yourself be influenced  by the fashions of the moment, but always choose the bag that suits you best , and, above all,  think of what you will use this handbag for!!!
